Add the new Users/Remove the existing users using Group file

Hi,

In this page we are going to see how to add/Remove a user from a Group file exported from the HSS.

Pre-requisites

Download CompareIT/Beyond Compare tools

Steps:

1.Login to the HSS

2.Expand  Foundation and select Shares Services under Application Groups 

3.Export the Groupfile and save it in the format of Groups_DDMMYY to remember

4.Search and Add the new  users /Remove the users w.r.t the Group name like ESS_RO/ESS_RW  and save it

5.Open the Compare file and do the Analysis with the previous Group file which was modified before date and check did we do the right changes or not and save it.

6.Import the updated/modified Group file in HSS SharedServices under Application Groups

After Adding the users/groups Refresh the filters in Essbase using Refreshsec bat file and Security filters for Planning in Workspace...

Please careful while modifying the users/Groups in this Group file since it affects a lot to the users if something goes wrong....👂👂👂👂👂👂
