Process to Start and Stop the Hyperion Services Under Scheduled Maintanence

Hi,

In this Page we are going to see Do we have any Sequence to Stop and Start the Hyperion Services?

Yes,We have a sequence which will make the Hyperion environment stable....So what is that sequence?

In an Environment we are having multiple Hyperion Products Installed in a Distributed manner

So lets assume we have 4 servers in an Environment and Installed in the Below Architecture...

Server1  = Foundation/EPMA/CalcManager

Server2 = Essbase/EAS/EssbaseStudio

Server3 = HyperionPlanning/Financial Reporting

Server4 =  HFM/FDMEE

Now How to stop the Services when there is a Scheduled Maintanence...

Step 1:

Stop the Essbase services using "Stop EPM System [Windows] " / "./Stop.sh  [Linux]

Step 2:

Stop the Hyperion Planning Services Server using  "Stop EPM System [Windows] " / "./Stop.sh  [Linux]

Step 3:

Stop the HFM /FDMEE Services using "Stop EPM System [Windows] " / "./Stop.sh  [Linux]

Step 4 :

Stop the Foundation / EPMA / Calc services using "Stop EPM System [Windows] " / "./Stop.sh  [Linux]

Once we are done with the above activity Restart the Servers and Start the Hyperion Services in below sequence

Step 1 :

Start the Foundation / EPMA / Calc services using "Start EPM System [Windows] " / "./Start.sh  [Linux]

Step 2:

Start the Essbase services using "Start EPM System [Windows] " / "./Start.sh  [Linux]

Step 3:

Start the Hyperion Planning Services Server using  "Start EPM System [Windows] " / "./Start.sh  [Linux]

Step 4:

Start the HFM /FDMEE Services using "Start EPM System [Windows] " / "./Start.sh  [Linux]

Please make sure Database services should be Up before going to start the Hyperion services...

Please read this and let me know if you have any questions.....
